Smooth and well-rounded, it offers a rich, layered flavour—chocolatey, buttery, and gently sweet, with an aftertaste of cashew nuts and no trace of astringency.
Crafted exclusively from the first flush, this matcha delivers not just sweetness, but depth and nuance. The symbol for this blend is the Usagi, representing softness, grace, and quiet good fortune. Said to dwell on the moon in Japanese folklore, the Usagi felt like the perfect emblem for this limited Yame release—known for its gentle richness and smooth personality.

I usually have to add syrup or sweetener to my matcha as I don't enjoy bitter powders, but this matcha is so smooth and not bitter at all! It has a very delicate taste and is the only matcha powder I've tried that I can drink as is without adding anything to sweeten it. This powder has a very pleasant aftertaste and I very much look forward to drinking it more 😊
