Silket Process
Silket processing involves using Mercerized Cotton. Mercerized Cotton resembles silk in appearance due to its similar texture. The mechanical action during the stripping process creates raw fibers on the surface. To smooth the surface and enhance its luster, the Gas-Singing process is employed to remove these fine fibers. Following this moso process, the fabric undergoes Mercerized processing using caustic soda. After mercerization, the yarn exhibits a distinct color with increased soft luster and dye affinity.
